Steve Hill is an extremely passionate and driven individual with a thirst for adventure. Steve is a 2010 graduate of Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management, where he earned a Bachelors of Science in management and marketing. He now resides in Indianapolis, Indiana as a digital marketing manager at Beckman Coulter, a Danaher company.
When he’s not working, Steve is leveraging his creativity on a canvas, with a camera, or on a skateboard. His artwork has been on display in several art galleries in Indianapolis. His photographs have been used on various blogs and websites from across the country. Steve has been involved in several skateboarding video projects as well. He also teaches private skateboarding lessons in the Indianapolis area.
Steve is perhaps best known for Skate Across Indiana, an annual 165 mile skateboard ride for charity. The ride takes a route across central Indiana beginning at the Illinois state line and ending at the Ohio state line. He completed the solo ride ever in 2012 and raised several thousand dollars for Christian World Outreach, a ministry based in Denver, CO that operates HIV/AIDS education in prevent programs in Africa. In 2013, Steve once again made the trek and raised over $5,000 for Horizon International‘s AIDS orphan programs.
He is a big fan of the Indianapolis Colts, the Miami Marlins, and of course, the Purdue Boilermakers. Steve also enjoys traveling, running, and camping.
