Background
Steve Hill is an extremely passionate and driven individual with a thirst for adventure. Steve is a graduate of Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management. He studied marketing and management earning a Bachelors of Science in just 3 ½ years in December of 2010. He now resides in Indianapolis, Indiana as a marketing account manager. Following graduation, Steve spent time living and working in Bloomington, IN as an Account Executive at Hanapin Marketing. Prior to joining Hanapin, Steve worked for Slingshot SEO as a Social Media Networker in 2010. He was the social media intern at MEDIAPLUG in Noblesville, IN during the summer of 2010. He also worked for College Hunks Hauling Junk in Indianapolis from July of 2009 to August 0f 2010. Prior to that, he spent four years working for Chipotle Mexican Grill in Westfield, IN and has also worked for Guardian Relocation in Indianapolis.
When he’s not working, Steve is leveraging his creativity on a canvas, with a camera, or on a skateboard. His artwork has been on display in several art galleries in Indianapolis. His photographs have been used on various blogs and websites from across the country. Steve has been involved in several skateboarding video projects and finished third in Purdue’s first annual Game of S.K.A.T.E. He also teaches private skateboarding lessons in the Indianapolis area.
Steve became a leader very early on. He joined the Boy Scouts of America at the age of 11. Three years later, Steve earned his Eagle Scout award. He went on to earn three additional eagle palms, as well as his Firecrafter, Order of the Arrow Brotherhood membership, and the Paul Bunyan Woodsman Award. Steve also completed White Stag Junior Leadership Training, a nationally recognized leadership camp for youth and is a member of the National Eagle Scout Association (NESA).
Steve is also heavily involved with ministry and relief projects in Haiti through Christian World Outreach based in Denver, CO. In the wake of the 7.0 magnitude earthquake that tragically struck Haiti in January 2010, Steve organized a relief supplies drive in West Lafayette through several area churches. The drive collected over 200 articles of clothing, 300 non-perishable food items, 25 sleeping bags and 7 large boxes of medical supplies.
He is a big fan of the Indianapolis Colts, the Miami Marlins, and of course, the Purdue Boilermakers. Steve also enjoys traveling, running, playing basketball, mountain climbing, and camping.
