The action sports world has been buzzing recently about J.P. Auclair’s new street skiing video segment that comes from a ski video called All.I.Can. The video itself has gone viral in similar fashion to Danny Macaskill’s street trials biking video part that came out back in 2009. I had seen the video first on Vimeo, but when I began seeing other sites like Adventure Journal, I knew it was time for me to share it on my own site. Although I’m a snowboarder myself, I can’t help but appreciate the beauty of this video and I hope you will too.
Auclair takes his skiing to the slushy streets of a British Columbian town as he hits handrails and jumps over cars like they’re regular fixtures on a typical Rocky Mountain resort. From sparks flying as Auclair’s skis scrape across the pavement of the wet roads to the bright neon jacket contrasting against a dreary gray winter sky, the part paints a fascinating picture of winter. That’s all thanks to Sherpa Cinema’s incredible job of capturing some amazing skiing by Auclair. After you watch the segment, it should come as no surprise to you that All.I.Can has won numerous awards all over the word for its stunning cinematography. It even makes me wish I had the kind of talent to be a part of a beautifully shot product like that and hopefully one day I’ll have a chance. Anyway, enjoy the video and check back for more like it to be featured in the future.
