The Appalachian Trail in 4 Minutes

Appalachian Trail Sign

As I mentioned in one of my previous posts, Backpacking in Shenandoah National Park, I have a little bit of experience rubbing noses with the famous Appalachian Trail. Unfortunately, I haven’t had the opportunity to hike its entirety (perhaps one day), but I certainly like hearing about other hikers’ experiences with the trail. That’s why I’m sharing this video that I came across on Backpacker Magazine‘s website called “Green Tunnel.” The “Green Tunnel”, which was created by Kevin Gallagher, documents a journey along the Appalachian Trail in the form of pictures put together in a stop-motion format. The video itself is mesmorizing and does a phenomenal job of capturing some of the most scenic aspects of the trail. I can almost guarantee that once you watch it, you’ll have some desire to get out and experience the trail for yourself. Check out the “Green Tunnel” video below.
